Now let me tell you something
about me:

My name is Julia Tischberger, I am 15 years old and I live in a small community called Bad Zell.

I have got a younger sister and I am attending the Business College in Perg.
Some of my hobbies are meeting my friends, going swimming or reading.
I also like shopping and going to the cinema with some friends.

Let me tell you something about my community Bad Zell.

The community is a district in Freistadt and it is at a distance of about 40 km from Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. The altitude of Bad Zell is 515 m, it covers an area of 45,5 km² and it has a population of 2769 people. The mayor of Bad Zell is Mag. Hubert Tischler and he is a member of the People's Party.

The health resort Bad Zell developed in 1976. Bad Zell is always worth visiting. Surrounded by soft hills and a beautiful landscape it is set in the region Naturpark Mühlviertel. Fields, forest and rocking stones dominate this section of the country. Bad Zell offers everything for your health: mineral springs, the mild Mühlviertel climate and a very special harmony.

When you are in Bad Zell you can do a lot of different activities: In summer you can ride a horse, go hiking, play football and tennis or go swimming to the beautiful swimming lake. If you don’t like swimming in a lake you have to go to the wellness center, where you can also swim outside or relax on the grassland. If you want to do some sport ón a rainy day you can go climbing to the arena or you do some activities at the sport- and fitness center.

But there are also some things you can do in winter. If there is a snow you can go cross country skiing and ice skating.

In Bad Zell there are two supermarkets, a backery, a butcher and a health-food shop where you can buy some edibles. We have also some guesthouses with very good food, a cafe where you can go and drink a coffee. If you like pizzas you have to go to the pizzeria.

On the market place you can find different shops like a florist, a hairdresser, a tailoring, a little shoe-shop and a draper’s shop.
The community Bad Zell has two doctors, you go to them if you are ill or hurt. For your animals we have a veterinarian.

Beside the church there is a library with a lot of interesting books and CD’s you can borrow. As far for children there is a big playground in Bad Zell, a kindergarten, a elementary school, a primary school and if you want to learn a musical instrument you can go to our music school.
